Under 16’s: Today’s fixture against Sirens turned out to be perhaps unexpectedly very complicated. However, in sports traps are always round the corner. Something our boys should better learn fast. An improved Sirens side strengthened by two Italian players proved to be stiff opposition especially thanks to some fine goalkeeping by the Sirens goalie. The match for our boys took a negative twist with the exclusion of captain Kai Dowling very early in the game. The same incident also brought about a penalty for Sirens. Worth noting was the reaction of the boys who against all odds from two goals down managed to snatch a draw in the final minutes of the game.
Today was also the last day of the International Tournament. San Giljan ended up as winners. A full report of the final day and final standings of the Tournament will follow shortly.
