San Giljan ASC has one of the top youth sectors on the island. In fact over the years it has produced some of the top local players including Senior Team 2014 Player of the year Matthew Zammit, and U’20’s Player of the year Darren Zammit, followed by Ben Plumpton 2020 & 2021 Player of the year, Stephanie Tanti Desjardins as Female Player of the year 2020, and current Player of the year Jake Tanti.
The Little Saints (U12) category annually participate in the HaBaWaBa Tournaments which is the top age group waterpolo competition in the world. These tournaments happen both locally and abroad.
Waterpolo is a full body sport that provides holistic physical development while it also helps children to learn how to work in a team. We strive to give our kids a program which aims at developing their character as well as their physical, swimming and waterpolo skills.
San Giljan ASC invites boys and girls born within 2010 or after, to join its junior squads. Training is provided by experienced and qualified coaches on weekends and weekdays. Waterpolo training is hard training but fun too! Applications are being accepted for the upcoming seasons.
Training sessions are currently being held at the National Pool in Winter, and San Giljan Waterpolo Club in Summer.
