San Giljan win the BOV Water Polo Premier Knockout 2022 – Bank of Valletta – BOV Group. San Giljan are the winners of the BOV Water Polo Premier League Knockout 2022. In a highly contested final between arch-rivals San Giljan and Neptunes, the former edged the Saints 13-10 to win the first major award of the summer.
This was a match that kept the large crowd in the stands on their toes. The Saints put their hearts into this final and at one point in the third session, they had a two-goal disadvantage. But San Giljan were unperturbed as they came back thanks to a collective effort.
Joe Agius, Chief Technology Officer at Bank of Valletta and Karl Galea, Vice-President of the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta presented the BOV Water Polo Premier Knockout Trophy to San Giljan captain Matthew Zammit.
