Rough seas upset inter-league and training schedules while damaging jelly fish net

The Committee of San Giljan ASC regrets to inform its Members that the jelly fish net that surrounds the perimeter of the waterpolo pitchwill have to be dismantled as this was damaged by today’s rough seas. This will be fixed so that it will be used next summer. The Committee’s intention was to leave the net up till the end of August to avoid  the usual September storms. However these plans will have to be changed. Let’s hope that the jelly fish keep on sparing us in the coming weeks.

Also due to the rough seas today’s inter-league match had to be postponed to tomorrow while the parents’ match scheduled for tomorrow will have to be postponed to  a later date.  A strong North West wind also upset the training schedule of the Under 16 team which had to move their session to the National Pool in view of tomorrow’s league match vs Sliema. Hopefully the rough seas will not disturb this fixture.

For this match a new set of goal post nets will be installed. These were sponsored by Ms. Mariella Cutajar.
