San Giljan registered their second consecutive victory in the 2012 winter league with a rather easy 14-5 victory against Marsascala.
The match was balanced and interesting in the first session, but San Giljan put a strong hold on the match in the second and third session scoring nine goals to Marsascala’s only score.
The match had an unusual tense start with Duncan Cassar being shown the red card.
San Giljan claimed this session 3-2 with goals from Kai Dowling, Ryan Mock and Christian Gialanze, with Matthew Pace and Stephen Micallef hitting back for Marsascala.
San Giljan made the break in the second session scoring four goals through Fava who scored a brace, Pisani and Mock. Matthew Pace was again on the mark for Marsascala.
In the third session San Giljan were in full command adding five further goals to their tally to put the issue beyond doubt.
San Giljan’s goals were scored by Claude Cutajar, Andreas Galea, Ryan Mock and two from Matthew Pisani.
In the fourth and final session Marsascala scored through Matthew Pace and Ranier Scerri with Ryan Mock and Christopher Martin hitting back for San Giljan for a 14-5 victory.
