This evening San Giljan lost against Sliema 11-10 and will need a win this Saturday against Sirens to make it to the final phase of the Winter League. San Giljan ended up on the losing end paying dearly a very slow start as Sliema won the first session 5-1. San Giljan showed good fitness levels as they managed to fight back in the game. There were also some controversial referee’s decision which also deprived San Giljan from its top scorer on the day, Andrea Bianchi who was excluded with three fouls.
