In the Under 17 league, in front of a nice crowd, San Giljan beat Neptunes 7-5 to join them at the top of the league table. San Giljan played a very solid game in defence limiting the opponents’ attacking potential to a minimum. San Giljan were always quick to go into attack creating several man up situations and clear chances which too often were not converted. In fact the match was stuck to a 2-2 draw up till the end of the second session. San Giljan somewhat improved their finishing in the last part of the match. Overall, a good performance by the boys who however need to work on their finishing to ensure that their superiority does not go wasted.
The match was preceded by an Under 13 game in which Neptunes were clear winners as they beat San Giljan 29-8.
