The Under 17 squad coached by Bogdan Rath beat Exiles 19-4 to bring to San Giljan a long awaited national junior league. After several runner-up placings, finally the Club is reaping the benefits of the work carried out in the last few years even in terms of victories after also having won the Under 15 Winter League title.
On this occasion a word of appreciation goes to the Players, the Technical Staff, the Committee and the Juniors Sub-Committee while a special thanks also goes to the parents for their cooperation throughout the whole season.
The Under 17 league trophy will be presented on Thursday 6th September after the final match of the league against Marsascala at San Giljan pitch which will be played at 17.00. All San Giljan supporters are invited to attend for this match and share this special day with all the boys who achieved this feat.
In the meantime in another fixture that was played this week the Under 15 squad was beaten 19-5 by Neptunes. The Under 15 squad will be back in action on Friday away against Exiles at 17.30 while the last fixture for this week is the one scheduled on Sunday at 11.00 at San Giljan pitch where the Under 20s meet Neptunes in a game that had to be postponed due to the rough seas that hit our Club during this week.
