Sliema fi8nished the match with four players, all out on fouls, Soler, Meli, Brownrigg and Attard, whilst San Giljan had Dowling and Bianchi also ending early.

After the break  another penalty by Kovacictook the Saints nearer, but Sliema held out, and then scored twice, to obtain a better advantage against the Saints, leading 8-5, going into the last quarter.
