The Under 17 squad started the second round of the Age Group Winter League with another win. Our boys beat Sirens 12-9 and are still on full points having won all their matches.
The margin was less impressive than in the first round . Nonetheless, the result was never in doubt even though the San Giljan juniors played well only in patches. In other instances, they were too wasteful in attack and distracted in defense. Coach Aurelien Cousin was quick to draw the boys’ attention and will surely be working with the boys in the coming weeks to avoid certain deficiencies which could prove costly in the more important Summer league matches.
The next fixture is scheduled for Saturday 7th February at 15.30 vs Sliema.
