In a well attended Winter League top table clash San Giljan Allcare Insurance beat Sliema 12-10 to overtake them at the top of the table.Our team had a very strong start which resulted in an early 5-2 advantage which proved to be decisive at the end of the match. San Giljan’s advantage around mid-game was even of 5 goals. Sliema started getting back into the game towards the end of the third session but were always kept at a safe distance as they never got beyond the two goal gap which our boys ably coached by Emile Nikolic managed till the end of the match.
Yesterday’s match bodes well for the Winter League play-offs where san Giljan will be playing Neptunes on Friday 17th April at 19.30 and Sliema on Saturday 9th May at 14.30.
