PRESS RELEASE – SAN GILJAN AQUATIC SPORTS CLUB SWIMMING AND WATERPOLO SCHOOL

SAN GILJAN AQUATIC SPORTS CLUB SWIMMING AND WATERPOLO SCHOOL in conjunction with THE ST. JULIAN’S LOCAL COUNCIL

As from Monday 27th June San Giljan ASC in conjunction with the St.Julian’s Local Council will be running a swimming and waterpolo school which will go on till the beginning of September. Lessons will be held four times a week at the Club’s pitch which is protected by a jelly fish net. Children will be therefore fully enjoying their summer by swimming in the sea in a safe environment. The Club has been considerably embellished becoming even more welcoming to parents while their kids attend lessons.


Children from the age of seven who can swim unaided are invited to attend. The lessons will be carried out by qualified swimming and waterpolo coaches while one to one coaching will also be carried out by the Club’s foreign players Nikola Sutic and Filip Trajkovic who have played waterpolo even at Olympic Games level.

Lessons will consist of basic swimming strokes and fundamental waterpolo techniques. Those who will show a certain aptitude to take up the game at a higher level will also be given the opportunity to do so.
