This afternoon in adverse weather conditions San Giljan beat Neptunes 7-5 in the first match of the Under 15 Winter League. All the players gave a very good show and ended on the winning end even though they missed two penalties. The performance of the three new players goaler Daniel Spiteri and players Ben Plumpton and Darren Zammit was very encouraging and the newcomers seems to have integrated well with the rest of the team. The scorers for San Giljan were Andreas Galea who scored a hatrick, Ben Plumpton who scored two goals while Andrew Licari and Darren Zammit scored a goal each.
Tomorrow the Under 17 squad will be playing against Sliema at 4pm.
