Our junior teams had a difficult weekend as both the Under 17 and Under 15 squads ended up being beaten by Sirens and Sliema respectively.
The Under 15’s lost on Saturday against Sliema 14-6. Sliema were superior from the word go. In fact at the end of the first session they were already leading 4-0. Our boys never really managed to get into the game against a superior Sliema side.
On Sunday the Under17’s lost against Sirens 10-4. The match could have been closer than the score actually suggest. In fact it was a pity that in many occasions our boys in attack were wasteful. Missed chances that prevented our team from holding on to their opponents and offering a stiffer challenge.
In the meantime on Sunday morning our Under 11’s participated in a Waterpolo Festival dedicated to this age group. Indeed a very enjoyable event for these boys who are getting their first taste of waterpolo.
Preview for next weekend: The matches that will be played in this first weekend of December will see our Under 15’s playing against M’Scala on Saturday at five while the Under 17’s will play Neptunes Sunday at the same time. In the meantime Sunday morning will be dedicated to the Under 13’s who will be participating in yet another Waterpolo Festival which is scheduled to start at nine.
