Under 17s beat Sirens by one goal

This evening the Under 17 squad beat Sirens at Sirens pitch 3-2. Indeed a strange score for a strange game which the boys played to perfection in the first session which they ended up winning 3-0. However, the same cannot be said for the rest of the match where the boys while still being tight in defense failed to score any goal wasting several chances including man up situations. Overall a crucial win following a performance which left much to be desired.

The same clubs also played each other before this match at Under 13 level where Sirens ended up winners 18-9. The San Giljan boys showed some improvement from the previous match. We look forward to further improvement as Boghy Rath’s patient and dedicated coaching will undoubtedly keep on having a positive impact on these junior players.
