Marko Avramović signs for San Giljan

San Giljan ASC proudly presents their second foreigner for the season 2013 ….
Marko Avramović
Marko, born Аugust 24, 1986 in Belgrade is a Serbian water polo player. He is currently playing for Crvena Zvezda VET (Red Star Belgrade). He was part of the Serbian National team that won the gold medal in the 2009 World Championships in Rome, and silver medal in the 2011 World Championships in Shanghai. He played for Partizan for 2002 to 2011 and won 5 national championship,5 national cups and Euroleague 2011 and now plays for Red Star where this year he won the national cup. He played for the Serbian national team 93 times with which he also won 3 World leagues (2007,2010,2011), a World cup in 2010 and the Mediterranean games in 2009.

Marko’s first comments to San Giljan President Dr Daniel Aquilina, who brokered the deal, were ‘ I am also very glad that I will play for San Giljan ASC and justcan’t wait to come to Malta!’.
