ELENA BORG SIGNS WITH SAN GILJAN ASC

San Giljan ASC are proud to further announce the signing of Elena Borg

Elena has been playing waterpolo since 2011, starting her career at the young age of 11 years old.

Over the years, she won many honours with her previous club Exiles.In 2016, she was called for the National Team 8-nations Under 17 tournament, where Malta placed 4th, and finished the tournament as a top scorer.

In summer of 2017, Elena played in the U19 Italian Finals with Plebiscito Padova. After finishing her A levels, she decided to move to Italy permanently where she played for CSS Verona for 1 year in Serie A2, and for 3 years in Serie A1

She also participated in the LEN Champions League with CSS Verona in 2021.

With the Italian National Team, Elena competed at the 2019 World University Games where they placed 2nd, and at the Junior World Championships where Italy placed 3rd.

The signing of a player of the quality of Elena Borg, along the other signings made by the Club over the last weeks, evidence the ambition of the Club to be at the top of the game in female waterpolo.
