The President of San Giljan ASC has called the Annual General Meeting to be held on Friday 20th November 2020 at St Julian’s Parish Hall, St. Julian’s at 6.30pm. Kindly note that given the current situation, 30 seats on a first come first served basis, will be available for members who wish to physically attend. Face masks must be worn at all times. People attending to the AGM without a mask will be refused entry. Studies concluded for San Giljan ASC Waterpolo Pitch!

On Saturday 7th November, Hon. Dr. Clifton Grima Parliamentary Secretary for Youths, Sports and Voluntary Organisations paid a visit to the Club during which a press conference was hosted at eeetwellDr. Grima announced that a study on the impact of waves has been completed, as plans for the building of a pool for the San Giljan Aquatic Sports Club continue. Captain Matthew Zammit (Xellugi) Extends his contract!

Ben Plumpton Wins BOV Premier League – Player of The Year!

The San Giljan player finished off a memorable season in style as he was voted ASA Player of the Year. This was the first time Ben Plumpton won this honour in his career. He joins several prestigious names who won this honour over the years. Ben, 22, was a key player in the San Giljan squad helping the team to win the double winning both league and Knock Out competitions. We are very proud to announce that our Ladies Team Goalkeeper has achieved Women's League BOV Player of the Year! Stephanie Tanti Desjardins San Giljan ASC Goalkeeper Stephanie Tanti Desjardins won the ASA Ladies Player of the Year title. Stephanie impressed with a series of outstanding performances particularly those leading the team to the Knock Out, where the Saints were a whisker away from the title. Throughout the whole season Stephanie was an inspiration for her teammates who look up to her leadership in and outside of the water. A well deserved honour for the San Giljan Ladies goalkeeper. Christof Cauchi begins his new venture with San Giljan!

San Giljan ASC are proud to announce the signing of Coach Christof Cauchi ⭐ Christof will be joining the ladies’ team Coaching Staff alongside Dino Zammit and Ben Plumpton, and will also be heading the Beginners and Entry Level of the Club's Junior Sector 🇧🇪 Christof, a successful name in the local waterpolo scene, played with Sirens and Marsascala in premier division. He also formed part of Malta’s National team for 4 years. In 2015, Christof joined Marsascala coaching staff and was also in charge of the nursery and the ladies’ team. Last season, he also coached the senior team. Christof, currently also coordinates the SportMalta waterpolo school with national coach Anthony Farrugia. We welcome Christof to our Family and look forward to further success

The Knock Out final played on Sunday 18th October 2020 was Paul Fava's last game which crowned a fantastic career. Paul finished on a high winning the Double with San Giljan ASC.🏆🏆 Paul joined San Giljan in 2008, after having previously played with Sliema, Marsascala and Sirens. Undoubtedly, Paul’s career will remain characterized by the years he played for San Giljan. Paul joined the Club when San Giljan were striving to establish their place in the Premier Division, which back in 2008 consisted only of four teams. Paul’s signing from Sirens was a game changer, as it spoke volumes about the Club’s ambition to regain a top club status in local waterpolo. Sure enough, Paul Fava was one of the stalwarts in this

Continuing to record a memorable season for San Giljan ASC, the Saints covered themselves in glory again, winning the double for the 7th time, carrying off the 12th Knock Out . The 2020 season will go down in the Club’s history as San Ġiljan remained unbeaten throughout. San Giljan managed to beat arch-rivals and neighbours Neptunes both in the Premier League and K. O. Finals. San Giljan once again proved to have the best squad of local players, as this year’s season teams played without foreigners following the COVID-19 outbreak. A memorable win for San Giljan ASC. The Saints covered themselves in glory, winning the 11th league for the Club as we remained unbeaten throughout. San Giljan managed to beat arch-rivals and neighbours Neptunes in the Premier League Title. San Giljan once again proved to have the best squad of local players. This year’s season teams played without foreigners following the COVID-19 outbreak. Our Ladies Team – This years success!

The Ladies season officially comes to an end too! It has been a complicated, yet exciting year! As soon as the team started settling down with a new coaching structure, Covid19 came about to disrupt many plans.That said, the ladies never gave up. They kept training hard and made up for lost time during summer months, where they trained at the break of dawn and late evenings Together, coaches Dino, Ben , alongside the help of physiotherapist Edward, and all the players, built an amazing atmosphere!
