Under 17’s take off with a winning start against Sliema

The under 17 squad this afternoon beat Sliema 6-5 in what was a very close encounter. In fact our boys had  a black out in the second session which they lost 3-0. However, in the third session the team bounced back and two very well taken long distance shots by Kai Dowling put the boys back in business. From then on the boys always managed to stay ahead. Perhaps with some more accurate finishing the margin could have been much safer. In fact coach Kurt Dowling immediately after the game pin pointed this deficiency amongst others which he will be working on with the boys in the coming weeks. Goal scorers today were Keith Galea who scored three goals, Kai Dowling scored two while Andreas Galea scored one goal.

All in all a very good weekend which saw our juniors beating both Sliema and Neptunes. A photo gallery of this weekend’s matches may be seen on http://sangiljanasc.com/gallery/waterpolo-galleries/?album=1&gallery=19
