Both teams played Exiles. The Under 14 squad showed considerable improvement to manage a draw against more experienced Exiles. While Giacomo Novara was instrumental in the finishing of our boys’ actions the rest of the squad gave a spirited to display to manage to stay in the game in spite of having to chase the score for most of the game. The boys now look forward to an under 13 tournament next Saturday. Match practice will definitely help these young boys improve their performances.
On the other hand the under 19 side was too depleted to offer any real opposition to a strong Exiles side. Kai Dowling and Anthony Bugeja were both missing while Jean Claude Cutajar had foul trouble early in the game and got excluded soon after. However all the boys gave their best and managed to score a couple of nice goals which were appreciated by the crowd present at the Club.
