Ben Plumpton wins BOV Premier League – Player of the year 2021, for the second consecutive year!

Ben Plumpton has won the waterpolo BOV Player of the Year Award, the Aquatic Sports Association announced on Tuesday 2nd November 2021

The 23-year-old Plumpton enjoyed an extraordinary season as he helped San Ġiljan Mercury Towers to a league runner-up placing and the Knock-out cup title.

Ben joined the San Giljan junior sector when he was still 13 and came along prominently through the Club’s age group teams making his seniors debut in 2014 until he established himself as one of the key players of the Senior Team.

This trajectory should be of inspiration to all Club junior players to follow in Ben’s steps.

This season’s performances were remarkable as Ben is increasingly becoming a team player under the guidance of Club coach Dorian Pisani.

Ben is also a regular national team player with experience in top European competitions.
