San Giljan ASC is proud to announce the signing of one of the most established names in local female waterpolo, Kela Zammit. 
In spite of her young age (19) Kela has been playing waterpolo for 9 years – she started when she was just 10 years old 
From the ages 13-16 she played in the Italian league with the A1 team of Messina. She was part of the team that made it to the Italian semifinals for U15 and U17 Italian competitions. 
In Malta, Kela formed part of the Senior Women National team from the age of 13 and competed in international competitions for 3 years. At the age of 16, she moved to the Netherlands to train with a team called Polar Bears which held the title of champions of their Senior National League. She lived and trained there for a year and also played in their u19 league.
With her previous team Exiles, she won the league & knockout multiple times – the first time when she was just 13 years old! Besides forming part of San Giljan Senior Women’s Team she also coaches the Club’s juniors and entry level girls team.
